Yabadadoo!! I did it and it was great fun, just to see that great big shark coming up behind Simon with it's gaping mouth open, full o' teeth! Simon didn't even know it was there but I wasn't worried for Simon's safety, nah the shark would've needed a GREAT big gaping mouth to swallow Simon. My thanks to all who wished me well before the event. Tough tho' on those who hoped I'd be eaten by a shark: I've survived to annoy you on future events! Thanks to Simon for braving the sharks again just to keep me company and especial thanks to Kev for the prior lesson without which I doubt if I would've gone through with the dive. I enjoyed myself immensely and am willing to do it again should other 'Adventurers' wish to try it. Jaws stared me straight in the face and I've got the "stiffficate" on my office wall to prove it. Ian Ps. My better half said that I didn't look like I was enjoying myself but you cannae smile with a mouth full of regulator and sharks circling overhead!!

Very true, Ian, very true. It IS hard to smile with a gob full of regulator and sharks circling above, but it IS a tremendous experience. I dont see why we couldnt do this event again next spring ... worth keeping in mind !!! Would anyone be interested ? Simon

Did anybody else read in todays 'Scotsman' that a young employee at 'Deep Sea World' was mauled by a shark? OK, slight exaggeration, he was not taken to hospital; as he merely suffered 18 puncture wounds to his left arm!!!! Merely, merely?!? I told you these damn animals were dangerous, noway hosay will I go into that tank again! I've spent the evening cuddling family members to me after realising how close they came to losing me! I read a similar article, but it said he had 20 puncture wounds, it also mentioned that it had been an Angel Shark that bit him and not one of the big ones, which means he probably peed it off or stood on it, lol

LOL !!! And I always say "What's the worst that could possibly happen ?" Might think twice afore I say that next time !!! Here's the thing though ... he gets bitten ... blood weeps from the wound into the tank ... the tank full of super sensitive blood sensing sharks ... hmmmm .... I'd do it again ... but now I know to stay away from the ones with halos and wings playing harps. Should be easy enough to spot, to be fair ! Simon

Only kidding about not going in the tank again. Indeed, my family after reading the newspaper accounts insist that I do so! Ian
